"These are not birds - they are the scattered remains of our brothers, flying through the skies of their occupied land." This is how Egyptian artist Abdullah Wagih described his artwork, in reference to the scene.
"The skies of Gaza tonight. Those aren’t streetlights. Those aren’t stars. Those are bombs carrying death and destruction." Dr. Omar Suleiman

Before & After
This is what genocide looks like: Israel has dropped almost 80,000 tons of explosives - this means that Israel has dropped ~36 kilograms of explosives on Gaza for every man, woman, and child. Each red dot shows a bombed place in Gaza.
More journalists have been killed by Israeli forces in Gaza than in most major wars combined.

Since the 2000s, national governments and terrorist groups – from Israel, Syria’s Assad regime and the United States to the Islamic State – have found ways to curtail conflict coverage through myriad means, from repressive policies to armed attack. All have killed journalists and helped to foster a culture of impunity, turning conflict zones like Syria and Gaza into “news graveyards.” The war in Gaza has, since October 7, 2023, killed more journalists than the U.S. Civil War, World Wars I and II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War (including the conflicts in Cambodia and Laos), the wars in Yugoslavia in the 1990s and 2000s, and the post-9/11 war in Afghanistan, combined. Worldwide, threats to journalists in conflict zones are increasing. |
“If Mahmoud can be targeted in this way, simply for speaking out for Palestinians and exercising his constitutionally protected right to free speech, this can happen to anyone over any issue the Trump administration dislikes. We will continue working tirelessly until Mahmoud is free and rightfully returned home to his family and community.”
US judge rules Mahmoud Khalil can be deported for his views
White House has claimed that Khalil’s ‘beliefs and associations’ are counter to US foreign policy interests
Mahmoud Khalil, the Columbia University graduate and Palestinian organizer, is eligible to be deported from the United States, an immigration judge ruled on Friday during a contentious hearing at a remote court in central Louisiana.
The decision sides with the Trump administration’s claim that a short memo written by the secretary of state, Marco Rubio, which stated Khalil’s “current or expected beliefs, statements or associations” were counter to foreign policy interests, is sufficient evidence to remove a lawful permanent resident from the United States. The undated memo, the main piece of evidence submitted by the government, contained no allegations of criminal conduct.
During a tense hearing on Friday afternoon, Khalil’s attorneys made an array of unsuccessful arguments attempting to both delay a ruling on his eligibility for removal and to terminate proceedings entirely. They argued the broad allegations contained in Rubio’s memo gave them a right to directly cross-examine him.
Khalil held prayer beads as three attorneys for the Department of Homeland Security presented arguments for his removal.... READ MORE https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/apr/11/mahmoud-khalil-deportation-ruling-immigration

Israel’s war on Palestinian political life in Jerusalem- by Daoud Kuttab: If Israel truly seeks peace and coexistence, it must begin by recognizing the rights of Palestinians to exist, organize and thrive. That includes respect for international law, the protection of educational and religious institutions, and allowing Palestinians the freedom to engage in normal political and civil life. The international community, in particular Israel’s allies, must also take note: Silence in the face of these violations is complicity. As Israel continues to claim the mantle of democracy, its actions in East Jerusalem tell another story, one of exclusion, repression and systematic erasure.
While the world is focused on global economic issues and the wars in Ukraine and Gaza, Israel’s recent harsh policies in East Jerusalem mark an alarming new chapter in a long-standing campaign to eliminate any form of organized Palestinian political or civic presence in the city.
Under the pretext of security, Israel has persistently targeted and dismantled institutions that serve as pillars of Palestinian society, be they unions, schools, cultural centers or political offices.
In the latest examples of this, Israeli authorities this week presented orders to shut down six UN-run schools by May 8, and ordered the immediate closure of the Palestinian General Federation of Trade Unions.
This pattern is not new. For years, and especially since the signing in 1993 of the Palestinian-Israeli Declaration of Principles, also referred to as the Oslo Accords, Israel has worked to dismantle Palestinian institutions in East Jerusalem. They began with closing the historic Orient House, the Chamber of Commerce, the Arab Higher Council for Tourism, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club, and the Palestinian Center for Social Research.
Such actions reveal an apartheid reality. Despite claiming East
Jerusalem as part of its “unified capital,” Israel continues to act in
ways that starkly contradict its self-declared identity as a democratic
state. By criminalizing Palestinian civic engagement and political
expression, it exposes the discriminatory foundations and strategy of
Jewish supremacy in areas under Israeli civilian, as well as military,
control.... READ MORE https://www.arabnews.com/node/2596753
"This is what life is like in Gaza. The children aren’t being raised to hate. They’re being raised to be afraid. Afraid of being seen. Afraid of being heard. Not because of anything they or their families did, but because of the constant fear and violence brought by the Israeli military. This fear is shaping their lives. It’s leaving deep, invisible wounds that will take years—if not generations—to heal." Hani Almadhoun

Buying Time for Genocide ...

Stolen Steps: Child Amputees in Gaza
[April, 2025] This visual created in partnership with Defense for Children International – Palestine (DCIP), tells the stories of children whose lives and limbs have been stolen by Israel in its years-long siege of Gaza, and how Israel’s targeted destruction of Gaza’s healthcare system makes it impossible for them to access much-needed medical supplies and rehabilitation services. https://visualizingpalestine.org/visual/stolen-steps/

Would you build a fence deep within your neighbors yard?
Would you establish "KILL ZONES" to target and destroy others, including children?
Do you endorse bombing men, women, and children living in refugee camps- then bombing the roads, schools, hospitals and the flimsy tents of refugees who have been displaced multiple times?
Life is not a video game. These are real human beings and American made weaponry has been creating a Holocaust with The Rule of Lawlessness in the Holy Land.
Israel (established in 1948) is in the wrong. Zionism (established in 1897) is in the wrong. HAMAS (established in 1987) is in the wrong too, but HAMAS only exists because of a century of Zionism's never ending crimes against the native non-Jewish people of historic Palestine.
Both Israel and HAMAS hold political prisoners- ALL should be freed!
Terrorism of all types is wrong, and so is racist hate and
segregation. The United Nations (established in 1945) and The Universal
Declaration of Human Rights (established in 1948) are in the right- and
remain the very best hope for all of humanity.
President Trump wants to further displace Palestinians out of Gaza. How about welcoming home Jewish Israelis instead, welcome them home to real democracy with equal rights and respect for all people:
Religion must be a personal private choice, not a state sponsored
project armed with bribes, lethal weaponry, and misleading propaganda
aimed at perpetuating conflict and injustice.
Sincerely,
Anne Selden Annab

Israel’s military razed huge swathes of land inside the perimeter of Gaza and ordered troops to turn the area into a “kill zone” where anybody who entered was a target, according to testimony by soldiers who carried out the plan.
Israeli combatants said they were ordered to destroy homes, factories and farmland roughly 1km (0.6 miles) inside the perimeter of Gaza to make a “buffer zone”, with one describing the area as looking like Hiroshima.
The testimonies are some of the first accounts by Israeli soldiers to be published since the latest war started in October 2023 after Hamas’s attack on Israel. They were collected by Breaking the Silence, a group founded in 2004 by Israeli veterans who aim to expose the reality of the military’s grip over Palestinians. The Guardian interviewed four of the soldiers who corroborated the accounts.
Titled “The Perimeter” and published on Monday,
the report said the stated purpose of the plan was to create a thick
strip of land that provided a clear line of sight for the Israel Defense
Forces (IDF) to identify and kill... READ MORE https://www.theguardian.com/world/2025/apr/07/israel-military-gaza-perimeter-land-testimony-report
