At least 100 children are reported killed or injured by Israeli Forces every day in Gaza, since Israeli violence resumed (on 18 March) according to UNICEF #ForEveryChild ... "After nearly 18 months of war, nearly one million children in Gaza have been repeatedly displaced and deprived of their right to basic services. The world must not stand by and allow the killing and suffering of children in Gaza to continue."

After nearly 18 months of war, nearly one million children in Gaza have been repeatedly displaced and deprived of their right to basic services. The world must not stand by and allow the killing and suffering of children in Gaza to continue.

Harrowing. At least 100 children are reported killed or injured every day in #Gaza, since the strikes resumed (on 18 March) according to @UNICEF

Young lives cut short in a war not of children’s making. Since the war began 1.5 years ago, 15,000 children were reportedly killed.

The ceasefire at the beginning of the year gave Gaza’s children a chance to survive & be children.

The resumption of the war is again robbing them of their childhood.  The war has turned Gaza into a “no land” for children.

This is a stain on our common humanity.

Nothing justifies the killing of children wherever they are.

Resume the #ceasefirenow

UNICEF continues to call on parties to cease hostilities and reinstate the ceasefire. Humanitarian aid and commercial goods must be allowed to enter and be transported across the Gaza Strip. Sick and injured children must be evacuated for medical care. Civilians, including children and humanitarian workers, and the remaining essential infrastructure must be protected, and the hostages must be released.

UNICEF also urges states with influence to use their leverage to stop the conflict and ensure respect for international law, including that children are protected. The world must not stand by and allow the killing and suffering of children to continue.

At least 322 children reportedly killed in the Gaza Strip following breakdown of ceasefire

NEW YORK/AMMAN, 31 March 2025 – The breakdown of the ceasefire and resumption of intense bombardments and ground operations in the Gaza Strip has reportedly left at least 322 children dead and 609 injured – constituting a daily average of around 100 children killed or maimed over the past 10 days. Most of these children were displaced, sheltering in makeshift tents or damaged homes. These figures include children who were reportedly killed or injured when the surgical department of Al Nasser Hospital, in southern Gaza, was struck in an attack on 23 March.

The resurgence of relentless and indiscriminate bombardments, combined with the complete block on supplies entering the Gaza Strip for more than three weeks, has put the humanitarian response under severe strain and Gaza’s civilians – especially its one million children – at grave risk.

“The ceasefire in Gaza provided a desperately needed lifeline for Gaza’s children and hope for a path to recovery,” said UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell. “But children have again been plunged into a cycle of deadly violence and deprivation. All parties must adhere to their obligations under international humanitarian law to protect children.”

After nearly 18 months of war, more than 15,000 children have reportedly been killed, over 34,000 reportedly injured, and nearly one million children repeatedly displaced and deprived of their right to basic services.

With no aid allowed into the Gaza Strip since 2 March – representing the longest period of aid blockage since the start of the war – food, safe water, shelter, and medical care have become increasingly scarce. Without these essential supplies, malnutrition, diseases and other preventable conditions will likely surge, leading to an increase in preventable child deaths.... It's really like this...

Dear America- Taxpayers' money should not be shoring up greed, corporate corruption, injustice, and war.

Dear America- letter I just sent to my elected officials,

Taxpayers' money should not be shoring up greed, corporate corruption, injustice, and war.

The rule of fair and just laws is crucial, for everyone's sake.

So please stop endorsing, empowering, protecting, and arming Israel's flagrant violations of international law and UNIVERSAL human rights.

UNIVERSAL is a key concept.  It is Golden Rule logic- based on treating people the way you want to be treated.

The United Nations (founded after the horrors of the Nazi Holocaust) is also a key concept and the only definite hope for creating true peace and security for all of humanity.  That is good business. War is not.

Israeli violence and Zionist cruelty are escalating. So is HAMAS stupidity. Arming religion with lethal weaponry and excuses to kill or kidnap or displace others is a very VERY bad idea. BAD when Israel does it, and BAD when HAMAS does it.  BAD when America does it too.

Bigotry is a bully tactic that makes the world a very ugly place.

Meanwhile individual people worldwide are a diverse mix of good, bad, and indifferent, regardless of what their passport or ID card might say.

Look for the good and empower peace with justice, not bombs or bigotry.

Empower a just and lasting peace with full respect for Universal Human Rights and the rule of fair and just laws.

Sincerely,

Anne Selden Annab

When the Sky Is No Longer

by Lena Khalaf Tuffaha

a womb, prayers now besieged

inside your throat hum over whistles

and shrieks—the long how

puncturing what was.

Silence is the first casualty.

You no longer fear the clamor,

not because you are brave, but

because you’ve learned that death arrives

noiselessly, hovering

in the bowels of a missile,

that the clamor means

you are alive and someone else is dying.

You note the bleakness of your own heart

wanting to live in spite of this.

Kairos Palestine letter to The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops

Date: March 25th, 2025

With heartfelt thanks to God for the recovery of His Holiness Pope Francis, we, Kairos Palestine; Palestinian Christian clergy and community leaders of all Churches in Jerusalem, address you with deep sorrow and urgency regarding the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ (USCCB) joint resource with the American Jewish Committee’s “Translate Hate document”. This decision comes at a time of immense suffering for our people, as tens of thousands are being killed, starved, and displaced under Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza and the West Bank including East Jerusalem—actions condemned by leading international and Israeli human rights organizations.

"We urge you to reconsider your stance and retract this endorsement. We need the Church’s voice to stand with justice and truth, not with narratives that conceal suffering and excuse oppression.

Kairos Palestine, the most extensive Palestinian Christian ecumenical non-violent movement, is based on Kairos Palestine document: A Moment of Truth, launched in 2009, affirming that the Palestinian Christians are part and parcel of the Palestinian nation, calling for peace to end all suffering in the Holy Land by laboring for justice, hope and love, embraced by the Christian community, signed by all historically recognized Palestinian Christian organizations, and endorsed by the Heads of Churches in Jerusalem.  https://www.kairospalestine.ps/

You can now read Kairos Palestine letter to The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops on the resource "“Translate Hate document: The Catholic Edition” on the link below. "

By partnering in this document, the USCCB has alienated the indigenous Christians of the Holy Land, causing deep pain to a community struggling for survival. Ignoring their unalienable rights to live in their ancestral homeland and offering the State of Israel a justification for their forced displacement by considering their human and national rights as blood libels, only deepens this harm.

We urge you to reconsider your stance and retract this endorsement. We need the Church’s voice to stand with justice and truth, not with narratives that conceal suffering and excuse oppression." kairospalestine.ps/images/Kairos_
