Dear Governor Shapiro,

Our news reports that you are “praying for the return of the hostages and praying to make sure that these kids get fed in Gaza.”

I totally agree that HAMAS must release ALL the hostages ASAP, however you are wrong to blame HAMAS for Palestinian children being starved to death in Gaza. Israel is to blame for that.  Israel's occupation is to blame- Israel's checkpoints, blockades & control of all airspace and borders are to blame, Israel's GHF is to blame, and Israel's global propaganda campaigns aimed at de-funding and destroying UNRWA are also to blame.

Israel deploys lethal force as well as lawfare to persecute, impoverish, displace, and devastate the native non-Jewish men, women and children of historic Palestine, and to silence those that dare object to such blatant injustice and cruelty.

Modern technology means that Israel can rule the world, and do unto US what Zionists have done to the people of Palestine. 

We should be fully funding and supporting The United Nations, international law, and full respect for Universal Human Rights, while we still can.

The Israel Lobby comes in many forms, and I suspect Israeli bribes do too. So in a way American funds sent to support Israel come back in the form of an information war on America, aimed at gathering more funds and lethal weaponry so that Israel can continue USURPING land, rights, and peace... and Occupation Forces can continue harassing and harming any who dare object to such blatant injustice and violence.

I saw many atrocities as a senior aid official in Gaza. Now Israeli authorities are trying to silence us. Devastated hospitals, mass graves, bodies eaten by dogs in the street. After speaking out, I discovered my visa will not be renewed

*International Law makes it abundantly clear that every one- every person and every refugee- has an inalienble right to leave and to return to their homes and lands. That is why Israel wants to undermine and abolish the United Nations and UNWRA.

Imagine fleeing your home under bombs, only for Israel to declare it “absentee property” and give it to someone else forever. That’s why Palestinians remain refugees – because leaving means losing everything to Israeli law. People say “just resettle Palestinians elsewhere.” But Israel wrote laws like the Absentee Property Law (1950) to steal homes of those forced out, and the Law of Return (1950) to hand that land to settlers. Apartheid is built into their legal system.

Airdropping aid is a PR trick and dangerous distraction- it is not a good way to get food to starving children in Gaza... What’s needed is safe access by road. Let aid in through the UN, including UNRWA: "Opening all the crossings and flooding Gaza with assistance is the only way to avert further deepening of starvation among the people of Gaza. What’s needed is at least 500/600 trucks of basics every day."

Invest in the people's needs... Be for real freedom, justice, true equality, and respect for all of humankind!

Stand up for international law and Human Rights, not the weapons industry.

PLEASE SCORN VIOLENCE and stop arming Israel with lethal weaponry plus dumb excuses to cause cruel harm to others!

We should be supporting the people's needs, not state sponsored terrorism and the intentional starvation and torture of children.

This Earth Day please start noticing how much pollution and injustice war creates.

Tragedies abound here on planet earth, but at least we can try to make our world a better, more fair, just and secure place for more people.
