Israeli settlers targeting Palestinian factories to force workers off land: Rising Israeli settler violence targets Palestinian industrial facilities across the occupied West Bank, aiming to paralyse the local economy and force mass displacement.

A massive fire, believed to have been started by Israeli settlers, has destroyed olive trees and farmland in the occupied West Bank.

A blaze broke out near the al-Omari aluminium factory in the village of Ein Siniya, north of Ramallah, on Monday morning, spreading to roughly 50 dunams (12.3 acres) of perennial olive trees and causing damage to the industrial facility’s yard.

It comes amid a settler campaign targeting the West Bank economy, including farmland and industry, in a bid to displace Palestinians, sources told Al Jazeera.

Emad Khater, the head of Ein Siniya council, told Al Jazeera that a settler from the Atara hilltops was seen close to the facility before the fire started. When the blaze broke out, Israeli soldiers prevented residents and workers from putting out the fire.

“[It] is one of a series of systematic attacks that previously affected Ein Siniya, which included deliberate fires in trees, homes, and cars, in addition to theft incidents and physical assaults with beatings that affected citizens and workers inside the factories,” said Khater.

Ein Siniya is in Area B according to the Oslo Accords, which should see it under Palestinian civil and joint Israeli-Palestinian security control.

Abdul Samad Abdul Aziz, the owner of the Ein Siniya facility, said Israelis from illegal settlements had infiltrated the industrial site in late July and set fire to heavy equipment. A stone crusher was severely damaged in the attack and caused an estimated $700,000 in losses.... Act now: Fund People, Not Bombs .... from Jewish Voice for Peace "This week, the Senate will vote on Joint Resolutions of Disapproval to block the sale of U.S. weapons to the Israeli military. In the coming months, it will also vote on a supplemental request by the Trump administration to fund the war on Iran that may be as large as $80-100 billion. Congress must vote to block these bombs to Israel and oppose any funding for the war. "

The Israeli military is expanding its genocide of Palestinians in Gaza under the cover of the so-called “ceasefire,” continuing to bomb families in tents, preventing the entrance of food, water and medicine, and violently displacing Palestinians into an ever smaller part of Gaza

 Since the “ceasefire” began in October 2025, Israeli strikes have killed over 832 Palestinians in Gaza in daily shelling. In April alone, 111 Palestinians were killed by the Israeli military in Gaza. At the same time, the Israeli government continues to impose a deliberately engineered malnutrition crisis on Palestinians there.

Meanwhile the Trump administration, in coordination with the Israeli government, is consolidating the genocide through the Board of Peace. Despite the Israeli government failing to uphold key terms of the ceasefire, the Board of Peace is indicating that the Israeli military might resume its assaults on Gaza.

The Israeli government’s land theft is continuing. Although the “ceasefire” agreement required the Israeli military to withdraw behind an agreed-upon yellow line, last week it quietly released new maps showing Israeli forces controlling nearly two-thirds of Gaza, including a newly defined “orange line” that extends well beyond the boundaries set in the October “ceasefire.”

We see the hypocrisy clearly. The US-backed Board of Peace is allowing the genocide to continue, while the Israeli military appears to be exploring options to return to large-scale aerial bombardment, all with the aim of confining Palestinians to a fraction of their land inside of mass detention camps.

We reject this attempt at the complete erasure of Palestinian history and society.The genocide will persist as long as the US continues sending weapons and military aid to the Israeli government. Call on Congress and demand they fund people, not bombs.

Act now: Fund People, Not Bombs

As the U.S. and Israeli governments continue to wage an illegal and immoral war on Iran, the Israeli military is continuing its genocide of Palestinians in Gaza, accelerating its ethnic cleansing of the occupied West Bank, and raining bombs on Lebanon.

Congress will soon have multiple opportunities to block weapons to Israel and to oppose any more funding for the war on Iran.

This week, the Senate will vote on Joint Resolutions of Disapproval to block the sale of U.S. weapons to the Israeli military. In the coming months, it will also vote on a supplemental request by the Trump administration to fund the war on Iran that may be as large as $80-100 billion. Congress must vote to block these bombs to Israel and oppose any funding for the war.

Tell Congress to FUND PEOPLE, NOT BOMBS.

"It’s not a “project” and it’s not “controversial.” It’s land theft and it’s ILLEGAL UNDER INTERNATIONAL LAW" ... Deftly, time & time again, Assal Rad points out how our media has been writing it wrong, rather than righting a wrong:

Assal Rad

"What Israel is doing to Palestinians:

 -Genocide
-Ethnic cleansing
-Occupation
-Annexation
-War crimes
 -Starvation

What the media calls it:

-Military operation
-Relocation plan
-Offensive
-Settlement project
-Takeover plan
-Hunger crisis

 This is complicity, not journalism."

 ~~~
.... " “Israel says” is not journalism. “Israel escalates genocide, forcibly displacing Palestinians under threat of death,” that’s your headline." Assal Rad
~~~

Assal Rad: "They’ve normalized daily massacres, but nothing is normal about this. BREAKING: At least 64 Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks across Gaza since dawn on Wednesday, including 19 aid seekers, medical sources tell Al Jazeera.

~~~
Assal Rad: “Moves” They could have said land theft, annex, occupation, ethnic cleansing, forced displacement, genocide… But NYT went with “Moves.”
~~~
Assal Rad:
"🇷🇺: Completes land-grab, annexes territory
 🇮🇱: Approves a controversial project"

"Also look at the striking difference in the image they use. For Russia, Putin looks like a cartoon villain. For Israel, Smotrich just looks at a map." Assal Rad

Assal Rad: "It’s not a “project” and it’s not “controversial.” It’s land theft and it’s ILLEGAL UNDER INTERNATIONAL LAW."

"“An exhausted military” is more concerned with how tired Israeli soldiers are from committing genocide than the state of their Palestinian victims." Assal Rad

Susan Muaddi Darraj explains a crucial point about Israel, Palestine, & America... #LandTheft

Illegal Israeli Settlement Fortresses in the Occupied West Bank where a fully sovereign and free Palestinian State was supposed to be

Please understand that this is not a religious issue

Susan Muaddi Darraj

"Friends, please allow me to explain a crucial point.

Israel has been building illegal cities (settlements) on Palestinian land for decades - Palestinian land that is supposed to be part of a future Palestinian state. The world has condemned the building of these cities, but Israel keeps building them.

In order to build them, they steal land from Palestinian residents and families. It's been ongoing, even though I can remember presidents as far back as Ronald Reagan strongly condemning Israel for this policy.

The policy is obviously aimed at pushing people out, at emptying Palestinian land of its Palestinian residents, people who have inhabited that land for thousands of years.

It is not a myth or a lie that we are indigenous to the land. As an example, Palestinian Christians have baptismal records proving their existence in Palestine for at least a couple of hundred years.

So now, Israeli companies are holding real estate sales IN THE UNITED STATES to sell homes to Americans in these illegal settlements. It's like selling a vacation home to someone that has been built on the wreckage of someone else's stolen land. This comes after the recent news that Netanyahu approved the building of 30,000 new homes built illegally on Palestinian land.

Please understand that this is not a religious issue. This is an issue about ongoing land theft!

Please understand what is happening."
