RE: The people of Gaza need a UN protection force

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/dec/01/the-people-of-gaza-need-a-un-protection-force

Dear Sir,

Regarding Foreign secretary (1977-79) David Owen's letter "The people of Gaza need a UN protection force"... YES indeed!   But ALL of Palestine, not just Gaza, needs to be protected.

Israel claims to be targeting HAMAS so that Israel's massive bombing campaigns can aggressively pulverize the Palestinian homes and refugee camps in Gaza, killing countless civilians, as well as destroying entire neighborhoods, hospitals, schools, and livelihoods.

Meanwhile Israel's heavily armed soldiers and settlers in the illegally occupied West Bank have been harassing, attacking and killing Palestinian men, women, and children.

Fact is Israel has spent the past 75 years making the idea of international law and basic Human Rights a total farce.

The United Nations, The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and Palestine are all worth believing in and protecting from racist hate and corrupt politicians who would rather invest in war and inequity than build a better world for everyone's sake, regardless of supposed race or religion.

Sincerely,

Anne Selden Annab
