"Hello from Palestine!
This is Lifta. It was a Palestinian village just outside of Jerusalem.
In 1948, Zionist paramilitaries massacred local residents and launched repeated attacks. They drove out the local population.
This was one example of the horrors of the Nakba, when 750,000 Palestinians were driven from their homes and 15,000 were murdered.
Today only the ruins remain, but a few of the survivors - and many thousand descendants - live on."
