Caption from @mathqaf post: “Tatreez, a cross-stitch embroidery practice originating in Palestine, has a history spanning 3,000 years. It involves using coloured threads to create traditional motifs, each denoting different Palestinian villages and life events.
Palestinian women have practiced Tatreez as an act of resistance, weaving together their stories of resilience and hope in the face of war, displacement, and ethnic cleansing.
One day, Tatreez will be practiced in a free Palestine.”
