America's Statue of Liberty - Liberty Enlightening the World
Dear President Biden,
Thanks to Israel, our once firm stand on higher ground has slowly but
surely become quicksand underfoot, as all the Middle East, China and
Russia are fully aware of our hypocrisy and stupidity in world
affairs.
UN Security Council just failed to adopt a resolution urging humanitarian ceasefire & unhindered aid into Gaza: 4 votes FOR (China, Gabon, Russia, UAE) & 2 Against (UK,US)... 9 Abstained (Albania, Brazil,Ecuador, France, Ghana, Japan, Malta, Mozambique, Switzerland)
That vote clearly proclaims to the world that China and Russia (who are geographically closer to Israel & Gaza) value human life, whereas the UK and the US are far away islands increasingly isolated and mired in hypocrisy and corruption.
Is that really the message you want to send to the world!
Do not let Gaza become the grave yard for international law- and the United Nations. I believe in America- I believe in our ideals and our democracy. But our ideals and our democracy, our Fourth Estate, our academic freedom and our diversity, our economic future and prosperity are all being undermined and destroyed by our militant "friend" Israel.
Maybe, after all, our American ideals and democracy are actually a
big fat lie- a fiction propped up to camouflage rampant greed and
corruption by American leadership, as well as a way to ensure there will
be wage slaves for ongoing racist wars and corporate greed.
Time will tell, and so will our actions and words: Ignoring Israel's
blatant and long term violations of international law and the
Palestinians' basic human rights has not bode well for universal justice
or peace.
Israel's cruel decades long war on the native non-Jewish People of
historic Palestine is racist and wrong. We should know better. We
should not be funding, arming, or excusing Israel's ethnic cleansing and
genocide of Arabs all through out the Holy Land... and in my book all
land on earth is Holy, and all people are human beings deserving respect
and equal rights.
